Should you be Networking?
February 01, 2019
For a new business, or an established business looking to adapt its marketing plans, networking is more often than not suggested as a good place to start.
And as a networking group we would agree!
But why is networking a good idea, why should you and your business be doing it, and what will it achieve?
We asked members of Severn Business Network to answer these questions - and help you work out whether you should be coming along!
Why is networking a good idea?
Our members said….
- Word of mouth is one of the greatest marketing tools
- You automatically put yourself in front of dozens of potential customers
- Sometimes business can be a lonely place, SBN has a room full of like-minded people which is inspiring, and reassuring, especially when everyone else is having similar issues too.
- Networking supports others, supports charities and supports you in business.
Why should you and your business be doing it?
Our members said…..
- You get your own 40-person sales team shouting about your business
- It allows you to be focused on your business before the day even starts
- Networking inspires you to learn from others and move and grow your business with their support
- The breakfast is good!
What will it achieve?
Our members said….
- It generates business
- Promotes trust in your business and product or service
- Provides an outlet to share and receive advice with other business owners
- Allows you to form work connections with likeminded people
